VOLUNTEER - AMSTERDAM - REMOTE

About Kinder

At Kinder, we’re passionate about empowering global citizens to do good, better. We know that trust in the charitable giving sector is at an all-time low. And that as individual people, we can struggle to feel like we can make a real difference when it comes to global issues. We’re fighting these obstacles with effective solutions that help both the charitable giving sector and individuals become more impact-driven and informed. The result is a team of global organisations and citizens who are able to make a real, meaningful difference to the causes they care about.

The challenge is pretty clear: Can we get people to donate (more)? Can we help fund the best organisations? Can we help them be more efficient and effective? Can we help them spend less time and energy on fundraising? Help downsize overhead costs? Regain people’s trust in the donating sector? Here’s the good news: we totally can!

We’re working to start a revolution in the way we all affect change. Join Kinder to see just how easy it can be.

About the Position

Research Volunteer

We need help assessing the effectiveness, transparency and accountability of nonprofits. As a researcher, you will be vetting charitable organisations from all over the world. They are assessed on their ability to strategise, the quality of their program execution, and their engagement with research. Furthermore, you’ll assess whether their ethical standards are up to par. We use a two-step vetting framework and as a volunteer, you will most likely be helping us with the second stage.

By vetting with Kinder you help improve the nonprofit sector by informing potential donors of great charitable organisations. Do you have a background in social sciences? Do you have a critical and analytical mind and are you not afraid of questioning long-held beliefs, and want to push forward toward a better world? Join Kinder!

Do you possess the following traits?

  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent command of the English language (speaking other languages is a plus)
  • An experienced research analyst (or excited to become one)
  • Willing to speak your mind
  • Not afraid to ask questions
  • Available at least 5 hours a week

What we expect from Kinder volunteers:

  • You are willing to have regular consultations (mostly online) with the rest of the team;
  • You communicate clearly about your expectations and availability;
  • You are eager to learn new skills but also to share your talents and experience with others.
  • A commitment of at least 4 months

What we offer:

  • An experience worth mentioning on your resume
  • Insight into the different types of charitable organisations
  • Flexible working hours (helping out when it works best for you)
  • Remote (international) working possible
  • If you join us in our office in the heart of Amsterdam, tea and coffee are included
  • Invites to all Kinder events and team parties
